Mexico’s leading Modernist architects, whose work is characterized by their use of concrete, often assembled their houses in simple angular geometrical forms.   At other times concrete is used expressively like the work of a painter.   The exterior surfaces are chipped away to reveal shimmering colours on the concrete bed.  Louise Noelle will cover Legoretta’s museum and office work as well as the exposed concrete walls of the city theatre Egua Csalintes (1991) and introduce the work of Zabludovsky.
